Prophetic overview of October 2020 and a word for a coming visitation of the Lord

October this year has again started with accidents, major breakouts in interpersonal relations, sudden illnesses, and other challenges, including work issues. I have experienced that in my own family, in the lives of people in our ministry, and friends beyond. Interestingly there is also a sudden increase in the seismic activity, at least in the south of Greece.

As the month of October is an “evil day” (ref. Ephesians 6:13), this is a good time to remember that one of the 2 main reasons that God created us is to GUARD the Creation (Gen. 2:15), over which God gave mankind AUTHORITY and RESPONSIBILITY.

In Christ, the Royal Priesthood of King and High Priest Jesus carries primarily that AUTHORITY and RESPONSIBILITY to WATCH OVER God’s Creation and SERVE God’s Kingdom’s plans and purposes through prayer (e.g. 1 Tim. 2:1-4).

As Ap. Paul taught explicitly in Ephesians 6:10-18, we are called to be fully prepared to engage the enemy forces of Darkness during the times which are identified as “an evil day”, in such a way that we may found STANDING AGAINST THE WILES OF THE DEVIL.

Through the “wrestling” that is taking place “against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places]”, Ap. Paul admonishes us to be fully prepared by “being watchful in prayer with all perseverance and supplication” so that we “may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”.

Every year, the month of October has proven to be one such “evil day” when we are called to STAND GUARD over the Creation, starting with our own lives, families, homes, businesses, ministries, areas, cities, regions, nations – each one, according to the authority and responsibility that God has delegated to us for protection against the onslaught of the forces of Darkness.
